: I wrote this about my girlfriend. She once said “we’re always on the same wavelength” and I thought, not only true but it also had a nice ring to it. It was nice to turn her words into lyrics to show her how much she means to me. As far as the structure of the song – knowing that I’m not a great guitarist, I knew that something needed to fill in the space between the last two choruses. My friend Sean Brown came in with a broken harmonica and laid down the tracks in about ten minutes. I thought it’d be nicer than half-assing a mediocre guitar lead. This song is one of my favorites and means a lot to me.
